The Mc Donnell Trail Centre will bring alive and enhance your trip along one of the great road journeys of the world, helping you understand the history of the castles, monuments and rugged coastline of the Causeway Coast. We will take you back to the 16th century when the Causeway Coast was ruled by Sorley Boy Mc Donnell, one of the great Mc Donnell chieftains.View our interpretive centre and understand the importance of the Castles strategically located along the North Coast also highlighting the Mc Donnell’s strong connections with Scotland.
While enjoying tea and scones listen to our unique audio-visual presentation and hear the epic life story of this heroic warrior who successfully defended the Causeway Coast from all attacking forces and invaders.
