The Causeway Coast and Glens region is rightly known for its iconic tourist attractions and coastal scenery. But did you know that off the beaten track there are also many equally spectacular hidden gems to discover? And you’ll find eight of them here.
Picture This is a series of frames installed at carefully selected location that allow you the visitor to change your perspective and frame your own experience.
You'll be overcome with feelings of peace and serenity at Red Bay, Cushendall. The vast and wild Altarichard reminds you of the importance of protecting our landscape. Camus on the banks of the River Bann invites you to follow in the footsteps of our ancestors on their arrival on this island while further up the river you can find our more about our recent history at Portneal, Kilrea. If you explore Garvagh Forest you will find not just a frame, but one of the greatest follies ever to be erected around these parts. Tunnel Brae, Castlerock is a wonderful spot for you to enjoy panoramic views of the pretty seaside villages and beyond to Portstewart and the Inishowen Peninsula. And how can you resist the calm waters of the River Roe as they flow by Swann's Bridge? Making up the eight frames is the tranquil Burnfoot, providing a gateway to Benbradagh and The Sperrin Mountains.
