How can I get tickets to The Open in 2025?

For your chance to get a ticket for The 153rd Open Championship, you will need to apply for the official ticket ballot via www.TheOpen.com. The ballot will be open from 1st-31st July 2024, during which time you’ll be able to submit your application.

The ticket ballot is available to members of One Club, which is The R&A's free-to-join digital membership programme. One Club members can also upgrade to One Club Advantage for an increased chance of success in the Ticket Ballot.

How does the ticket ballot work?

After the application period closes, a random draw is conducted to allocate tickets. This means that everyone who applied has an equal chance of being selected, regardless of when they applied within the application window.

Members of One Club will be emailed a link to the ticket ballot application process, or it can be accessed via TheOpen.com once the ballot is live.

When will I know if my ballot application has been successful?

Following the closure of the Ticket Ballot on 31st July, all ballot applications will be reviewed, and fans will be contacted in waves throughout August and September. By the end of September, everyone who entered the Ticket Ballot for The 153rd Open will have been notified if their ballot has been successful.

If my name is drawn from the ticket ballot what do I do next?

If your application for tickets is successful, The R&A will contact you with further details on how to purchase your tickets. Those successful Fans will not be able to pick which tickets to purchase from the ticket allocation offered. Fans may only choose to purchase the entire allocation applied for, or ignore it.
