About

The Cow Shed is a contemporary converted byre retaining significant amounts of the original stone work. The Cow Shed is in a quiet countryside location yet conveniently situated less than a mile from Castlerock.

The property comprises of a spacious King size bedroom (with Smart TV) and generous en-suite shower room. A bright airy Living/Dining room with vaulted ceiling and French doors leading to a private enclosed patio, the room includes 'Stressless' armchairs, 43" Smart TV and double sofa-bed. A well equipped kitchen with dishwasher etc. is situated off the living area, with a second WC and shower room. Access to a Designated BBQ area available. No pets allowed and strictly no smoking within the property. The host is easily contactable 24/7 in the adjacent B&B.

All of the Amenities of Castlerock village are a short walk away and the beach is popular with sunseekers, surfers and open water swimmers all year round. Downhill, Benone and other popular beaches are close by, as are championship golf courses, the Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne. The Cow Shed is well placed for touring the Causeway Coast and Glens of Antrim, where attractions include Game of Thrones' "Iron Islands", the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and the Giant's Causeway. Veering inland, Binevenagh, The Roe Valley Country Park are easily accessible and Donegal is only a short ferry trip across the Lough Foyle estuary from Magilligan point. Locally, walkers have the Downhill Forest and the Downhill Demesne Walking Trail to explore, and the Ulster Way passes through Castlerock on the way from Dungiven to Portstewart.

Castlerock is served by regular trains and the beautiful historic city of Derry/Londonderry is a 30 minute ride away. Portstewart and Portrush offer local tourist facilities and retail therapy is available in the nearby towns of Coleraine and Limavady. For dining out, Anne is more than happy to suggest local restaurants.
