Carrowmena School House - is the perfect base to explore the stunning North Coast, the breathtaking beaches along the Causeway Coast, the scenic Binevenagh Mountain walks.  Conveniently located near Limavady, the Causeway Coastal Route, the historic city of Derry, the Donegal Ferry, City of Derry Airport, Bellarena Train Station, and Limavady bus stations, our accommodation offers easy access to countless adventures.

Accommodation Options

We provide a range of accommodation to suit all needs, from our 35-bed certified hostel for larger groups to our 6 Glamping Pods and 1 Bell Tent for a more unique stay.

Carrowmena School House (Sleeps up to 35 people)

Ground Floor:

  • Room 1 – 2 x bunk beds (Sleeps 4)
  • Room 2 – 3 x triple bunk beds (Sleeps 9)
  • Room 3 – 1 x double bed & 1 x bunk bed (Sleeps 3-4)
  • Room 4 – 1 x double bed / 1 single bed (bunk) (Sleeps 2-3)
  • Room 5 – 1 x double bed / 1 single bed (bunk) (Sleeps 2-3)

1st Floor:

  • Room 6 – 2 x double beds & 4 x bunk beds (Sleeps 10-12)

School House Facilities:

  • Kitchen/Dining area with seating
  • Lounge & front hall
  • Toilets & showers
  • Bed linen provided
  • Use of grass area, play area & fire pit
  • Commercial kitchen available (additional charge may apply)
  • Booking options: Ground floor only, or full house (Ground & 1st floor)

Glamping Onsite Facilities

  • 6 Glamping Pods (Sleeps up to 5 each) – Mezzanine bed setup (bottom triple bed & top double bed)
  • 1 Luxury Bell Tent (Sleeps up to 5) – 1 x double bed, 1 x double sofa bed

Each unit includes a private fire pit and picnic table. Guests also have access to:

  • Toilets, showers & changing area
  • Fully equipped communal kitchen & dining area (just bring your own food)
  • Grass area, play area & fire pit
  • WiFi & car-free site

Exclusive Bookings

  • Full Glamping Site (Glamping Pods & Bell Tent) available for sole use at a discounted rate
  • Entire Site (School House, Glamping Pods & Bell Tent) available for exclusive hire
