About
Join Jenna from Sychar's Well on 12th April 2025, for a creative and experimental morning block printing your own linen lampshade. Hosted at Camus House, one of the most beautiful and historic homes in the country.
This workshop will run from 10.30am until 2pm. After some warming County Armagh apple juice to kick-start the morning, the workshop will begin with participants learning about pattern making, and will spend some time experimenting with Jenna's own hand-cut blocks to create your own unique pattern. After learning printing techniques and test printing on to a paper template, you will hand print your own unique pattern on to a linen lampshade backing and will then be guided to construct your lampshade. You will take home your own hand-printed, 20cm conical lampshade (shape as pictured).
Guests will be provided with refreshments during the workshop: scones and treats, tea & coffee.
Guests' seating for the workshop will be split between the homely kitchen, the cook's quarters, and the front living room at Camus House.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. And please note that as you will be working with textile ink, please either bring an old apron or do not wear your finery!
*After purchasing, please email to inform of any dietary requirements, should you have any.
**If you should need to request a refund, notification must be made 3 weeks prior to the workshop, otherwise participants who cannot attend may transfer their ticket to a friend. Tickets cannot be transferred to a different workshop.
