About

Northern Ireland is the home of motorcycle road racing on closed public roads and every May the stunning Causeway Coast plays host to one of the sport's most spectacular events, the Briggs Equipment North West 200.

Scheduled to run from the 5th to 10th May 2025, the North West 200 is a totally immersive, captivating, unique and authentic experience.  Witnessing the world’s top competitors in a mass-start as the grid lights turn green, engines screaming, feeling the vibration through the ground, heads turning as the multi-coloured machines and riders race to the first corner at Millbank Avenue, reaching it seconds; it’s a breath-taking sensory experience full of power and skill.

There is No Where Like It!

The North West 200 hosts the world's top road racers attracting over 100,000 visitors to the superfast 8.9-mile circuit that links the towns of Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine. Hitting top speeds of over 200mph, racers such as Michael Dunlop, Peter Hickman, Davy Todd, Dean Harrison, John McGuinness and Michael Rutter, plus the many international competitors thrill the fans who come to enjoy the weeklong festival of speed on roads that locals normally use to make their way to work every other day of the week.

The event is a mecca for sports fans and those seeking a unique experience.  It offers everyone the opportunity to explore the history of road racing, attend the many Race Week Festival events and revel in the high-speed thrills during Thursday and Saturday race days.  The weeklong schedule also allows time for visitors to explore the vast array of other tourism experiences Northern Ireland has to offer, many close to the racing circuit. The North West 200 is a must-see event for everyone, confirmed petrol heads and new recruits alike!

The Race Week Festival includes, 2 days of practice sessions and 2 days of racing, a total of 9 races featuring 4 different classes.  With a diverse range of other events, day-time and evening entertainment, music concerts, fireworks display and unique VIP race experiences, there is something for everyone.

Choose from the wide range of ways to access the NW200 experience.

•           5 grandstands with 3.500+ seats around the circuit with 3 big screens for live viewing.

•           Seated VIP hospitality marquee experience during Thursday and Saturday racing.  Including a large viewing balcony overlooking the grid and 100m² screen, internal live screens, event stage and MC hosts.

•           Ticketed race paddock and exclusive access to the teams and competitors.

•           A ticketed FanZone with live practice and race viewing screens, a range of food and drinks.  Sponsored by Monster Energy who bring their take on the NW200 fan experience.

•           Free access around the race circuit for the pure road racing experience, now aided by the NW200 Interactive Map to guide visitors to the best vantage points and enable multi-location race viewing.
