About

Portrush Surf School is exclusively based at Portrush Yacht Club. We are proud to be Northern Ireland's only Official Billabong Sponsored Surf School. All of our wetsuit equipment and student/coaching vests are supplied by Billabong, one of the biggest names in world surfing. We feel pretty special that they have chosen to work with us.

Head Coach Martin "TK" Kelly (11 x Irish National Champion) is the longest established Surfing Coach in Northern Ireland. TK has travelled the globe for most of his years surfing. From representing Ireland on Euro and World Stage to Surfing some of the worlds most revered waves. From a Bodyboard to Surf Board, Body Surf to SUP, TK has honed his skills over a long career as a Professional Bodyboarder and is regarded as one of the leading water men in the country.

Did you say "3 hour lessons?" At Portrush Surf School we only run 2 day time sessions each day. 10am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm. We are the only school in Portrush to operate a 30 min check in time and 30 mins shower down time. This allows us to ensure you actually do get 2 full hours surfing time in the water. Nothing worse than a 45 min surf lesson.

Portrush Surf School's Group Lessons have a maximum of 8 people per session so you can be sure you will not get lost in a crowd. You can join a group lesson on your own or with your friends, just get in touch to get your spot booked
