About

Spacious, bright, and family-friendly house in the heart of Ballycastle, in a quiet cul-de-sac location, just a few minutes’ walk from the shops, cafes, bars and fabulous restaurants that Ballycastle has to offer, and just 10/15 minutes’ walk to the stunning seafront and the Rathlin Ferry.

Close to all the amazing County Antrim sights – Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a Rede, Bushmills, Rathlin Island, and The Game of Thrones locations of Ballintoy Harbour and The Dark Hedges. Also, situated just 18 miles from The Royal Portrush Golf Club, used for “The Open” Golf Championships.

In addition to the stunning landscape on your doorway, Fainne na Cairde is a detached private house with spacious rooms throughout. It boasts 5 good sized bedrooms, one of which is a huge family room containing 2 double beds, a sofa and smart TV, DVD player with huge selection of DVDs, variety of books and board games – perfect for a family of 4, or indeed for 4 teenagers to chill out.

The house also has 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, a spacious kitchen/diner with 2 separate dining tables and a large cosy sitting room. There is a lovely, enclosed garden at the back of the house, with a suntrap decking area and fire pit, perfect for the kids to make s’mores in the evenings complemented with twinkling lights.

In addition to the large garden at the front of the house, there is ample space to park 4 cars on the private driveway. Fáinne na Cairde (Circle of friends), as per the name is perfect for gatherings of friends and families alike, with enough space for everyone to find their own place to relax and enjoy.

There is of course free Wifi throughout the property.

Guests have full use of the property with a private entrance. We provide a welcome pack plus essentials such as soap, toilet roll, cleaning products, bin bags and a huge selection of towels. For the younger children, we also provide stair gates, travel cots, a highchair and children’s tableware as well as an assortment of children’s toys and the all-time favourite outdoor family game - Swingball. In general, we do love having family groups stay with us who have kids of all ages.

We have not specifically ticked “yes” for wheelchair users, because there are two steps into the front of the property, and a small lip at the back door also, but we do have a family member ourselves in a wheelchair and we manage fine. The property does indeed have two downstairs bedrooms and one bathroom located downstairs with a large walk-in shower, and separate bath, so is suitable for those with limited mobility.
