The Causeway Coast and Glens can be easily accessed by air with 3 airports within a 90 minute drive, Belfast International, George Best Belfast City Airport and City of Derry with direct flights from a number of international destinations (see map). The region can also be reached via international connections in Great Britain.

Air Routes to/from Northern Ireland

By Sea

There are two main ferry ports in Northern Ireland, Belfast and Larne. These can be reached from Great Britain via Cairnryan, Troon, Birkenhead and Isle of Man.

P&O Ferries operate the shortest fastest ferry crossing to Northern Ireland with up to 10 daily sailings to Larne.  Choose from the 1 hour EXPRSS service from Cairnryan, 2 hour EXPRESS sailings from Troon, From March to October, or a 2 hour Superferry crossing from Cairnryan all year round.

Rathlin Island Ferry Ltd operate 2 ferries between Ballycastle and Rathlin Island.  The fast passenger only ferry makes the crossing in 20 minutes and runs 5 return trips daily.  The more leisurely Canna makes her 3 daily crossings in 45 minutes carrying passengers and cargo for the island.  Rathlin is Northern Ireland's only inhabited island and offers the visitor an unspoiled and natural escape in an area of superb beauty and wild life.
